In June 2025, University College Cork hosted the European Astronomical Society’s Annual meeting (EAS2025). This was the largest conference the city of Cork had ever hosted, and the largest conference dedicated to astronomy ever hosted on the island of Ireland. Given the scale of this conference, no INAM was held in 2025.
The conference was organised by the European Astronomical Society in collaboration with the Astronomical Society of Ireland, Failte Ireland, Visit Cork, and Kuoni-Tumlare.
Members of the ASI played critical roles in organising the conference, with the SOC and Hosting Committee being composed of ASI members from all career stages. The SOC was chaired by Prof. Paul Callanan and the Hosting Committee chaired by Dr. Mark Kennedy.
Full details on the conference can be seen at https://eas.unige.ch/EAS2025/
A crowded lecture hall, with the minster of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science delivering the opening address.
